St Maximilian Kolbe
Maximilian Kolbe was born on January the 8th, 1894. He became a priest in 1917. In 1941. Then he was arrested by the Nazi Party - Jews. He taught the men in prison how to pray and sing songs to God. The Nazi chose a man to kill, but he pleaded for his life because he had children and a wife. Then, Maximilian sacrificed himself to save the other man. Then Maximilian was canonised as a Saint in 1982 by Pope John Paul ll.
