Parts and Functions, of a Flower - by Augustine

Learning Intention: W.A.L.T about the parts of flowers.

Functions of the parts of the flower

Petals- It attracts insects to pollinate the pollen.

Stigma- Holds the pollen.

Style- The style connects the stigma to the ovary.


Sepal- The Sepal protects the flower from drying out.

Ovary- Where the pollen are mix to be fertilized .

Receptacle- The receptacle is the thick  part of the stem that holds the flower.

Filament- The filament supports the anther which it is where the pollen develop.

Anther- The anther contains pollen sacs, which grain are formed.
